IVRI Izatnagar requires RA in Research Project Nov2009 (Rumen microbial manipulations for mitigation of methane emission and productivity enhancement)

Applications in general proforma are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as Research
Associate in a research project entitled” Rumen microbial manipulations for mitigation of methane emission and productivity enhancement in dairy animals” under the NFBSRA project. This recruitment is subject to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. There is no provision of absorption/re-employment in IVRI/ICAR after termination of the project. The service of the person so engaged will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project. The appointment is purely on temporary basis and liable to be terminated anytime without assigning any reasons thereof.

No separate interview letter will be issued. The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA and will have to make their own arrangements for stay etc. for attending the interview.

Essential Qualification:
Master degree in Animal Nutrition/ Animal Science/ Microbiology/Allied Sciences with two years research experience

Desirable Qualification:
Experience of conducting nutritional experiments with large ruminants, handling of computers and analytical equipments.

Remuneration: Rs. 17,000/- p.m. (fixed) + 20% HRA
Duration of Project: Upto January, 2012.
Age Limit: Between 21-40 years and 21-45 years as on the date of interview for male and female
candidates, respectively (upper age limit relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidate).
