1. COMPANY PROFILE

HUDCO was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the objective of providing long-term finance for construction of houses for residential purposes or financing or undertaking housing and urban development programs in the country, setting up of new or satellite towns and industrial enterprises of building material, to subscribe to the debentures and bonds to be issued by the State Housing (and/or Urban Development) Boards, Improvement Trusts, Development Authorities etc. specially for the purpose of housing and urban development programmes and to promote, establish, assist, collaborate and provide consultancy services for the projects of designing and planning of works relating to housing and development programmes in India and abroad. It is a schedule- ‘A’ Mini-Ratna CPSE in Financial sector under the administrative control of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

Its Registered and Corporate offices are at New Delhi

The authorised and paid up capital of the Company was Rs. 2500 crore and Rs. 2001.90 crore respectively as on March 31, 2009.

The shareholding of the Government of India in the Company is 100%.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Director (Corporate Planning) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman & Managing Director. He is responsible to draw up and oversee the long range Plan of HUDCO and for reviewing the financial pattern from time to time and recommend changes, improvements and new programmes. He is responsible for various physical, financial and legal issues`` for effective and time bound implementation of Corporate Plan(s) and Action Plan of HUDCO. He is also responsible for the perspective planning for long term requirement of personnel and their deployment.


3. ELIGIBILITY

I. AGE: On the date of occurrence of vacancy.

(i) Minimum 45 years

(ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and

not more than 57 years for others.

The age of superannuation is 60 years.

II. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

The candidate should be a graduate or equivalent with good academic record and adequate experience at a senior level with various aspects of directing, administering and implementing housing and urban development programmes..

Persons with professional qualifications in Physical Planning / Architecture / Town Planning / Business or Public Administration or any other housing discipline with sufficient experience in housing and urban development and/or financial administration at the policy making and operational level will have added advantage.

Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates with sound and adequate background and experience
