1. COMPANY PROFILE:
Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), was incorporated in 1943 and commenced production in 1947. It is a Multidivision/ multifunction organisation with interest in manufacture and marketing of Fertilizers and petrochemicals, Engineering consultancy and Design and in Fabrication and Erection of Industrial Equipment. It is a Schedule –‘A’/ Mini-ratna PSE in Fertilizer sector under the administrative control of Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
Its Registered and Corporate office is in Kochi, Kerala.
The authorized and paid up capital of the Company is Rs.1000 crore and Rs.647.07 crore respectively as on March 31, 2008.
The shareholding of the Government of India in the company is 97.38%.
2. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Director (Marketing) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. He heads the Marketing Division of the Company. He is primarily responsible for marketing operations of the company, including formulations and implementation of the marketing policies keeping in view company’s profitability and objectives.
3. ELIGIBILITY
I. AGE: On the date of occurrence of vacancy:.
(i) Minimum 45 years.
(ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more than 57 years for others.
The age of superannuation is 60 years.
II. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university with good academic record with adequate marketing experience at a senior level in a large organization of repute. The incumbent should have at least two years experience in Marketing during the last ten years.
Persons with MBA/Technical Qualifications with specialization in Marketing having experience in market research, product development, sales, forecasting and planning in Fertilizers and Petrochemicals activities will have added advantage.
Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates with sound and adequate background and experience
