1. COMPANY PROFILE
National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) was incorporated in 1974 under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the objective of producing and marketing of fertilizers and by-products efficiently and economically. It is a schedule ‘A’ / Miniratna PSE under the administrative control of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Fertilizers).
Its Registered and Corporate offices are at New Delhi and Noida (U.P.) respectively.
The authorized and paid up capital of the Company was Rs.500 crore and Rs. 490.58 crore respectively as on March 31, 2008.
The shareholding of the Government of India in the company is 97.64%.
2. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Director (Technical) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. He acts as Head of the Technical/Operations Division of the Company. His principal responsibility is to exercise control over the efficient operation of the plants of the Company in a manner which would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He also acts as Principal Adviser of the Company in all Technical and Operational matters.
3. ELIGIBILITY
I. AGE: On the date of occurrence of vacancy.
(i) Minimum 45 years
(ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more
than 57 years for others.
The age of superannuation is 60 years.
II. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The incumbent should be an engineering graduate or equivalent preferably in Chemical Engineering with good academic record from a recognized university/institution. He should have adequate experience in plant operation/maintenance/project management/technical services, in large plants and experience in the fertilizer industry would be an added advantage.
Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates with sound and adequate background and experience
