Sub:-Employment Notification for Recruitment against Sports Quota in SECR.

Applications are invited from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format for filling up of 12 (Twelve) vacancies in Group-C category in PB1 scale-Rs.5200-20200 + grade Pay 1900/Grade pay -2000 against Sports quota over SEC Railway. However the Railway administration reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies.

2. Conditions:-
Candidate will be subjected to medical examination by Railway medical authority prior to their appointment after due selection.
3. Educational Qualification & Age limit
.
a) Minimum Matriculation Passed (Basic Higher educational qualification should be compulsorily produced 10th certificate and Mark Sheet.)
b) Age limit:- : 18 to 25 years as on 01-01- 2010
No age limit relaxation for any category of candidates
Fee: Rs 40/- in the form of crossed bank draft/ Indian postal order drawn in favour of Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts officer , South East Central Railway, payable at Bilaspur
Candidates belonging to SC/ST are exempted from the payment of fee.
4. Minimum norms for recruitment
The sports achievement as indicated below should be those achieved after April 2007 would be considered
Sportspersons who has any of the following sports achievement in team or individual event, in any of the game mentioned in Table above.
i. Should have represented country in the International Championship OR
ii. Should have represented a state or equivalent unit in Junior/Senior National Championship and obtained at least 3rd position OR
Should have represented a University in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3rd position in individual event or 2nd position in team event OR
Should have represented a State or equivalent Unit in Federation Cup Championship (senior category) and obtained 1st position
How to apply.
i. Application should be filled by the candidate in own hand writing in English or Hindi.
ii. Application should be a good qualityA-4 size bond paper (80 GSM) using one side only. News paper application should not be used as application. One pass port size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate.
iii. Two pass port size photographs (same as fixed in the application form) should be clipped along with the application form.
iv. All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste, educational qualification, sports achievements, and other qualification should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and should be enclosed along with the application form.
v. The candidate should also submit 2 self addressed unstamped envelopes (size 23 cms x 10 cms ) along with application
6. Whom to apply.
(a) For recruitment in Group-C post, application should be addressed and sent by Ordinary post to “The Senior Personnel Officer (RR), 1st floor Chief Personnel officer’s S.E.C.Railway, Bilaspur-495004,Chhattisgarh” or should be dropped at the boxes provided at the Railway Recruitment Cell /HQ/Bilaspur offices of Divisional Railway Manager, S.E.C.Railway, Bilaspur

7. The call letters will be sent to eligible candidates for TRIAL mentioning place, date and time of Trial. No request for change of place, date and time of TRIAL will be entertained in any circumstances. No TA/DA will permissible for attending TRIAL/Interview. Candidates are advised to bring their own kits as per their sports discipline for Trial. List of eligible candidates will also be displayed in the SECR website www.secr.gov.in.
8. Conduct of Trial
i. Trial of candidates shall be conducted to assess their sports performance/suitability for the Team of SECR Railway. Candidates found FIT in the Trial will be considered for next stage selection. The following is the format of marks for the trial:-
Maximum Marks for Trial : - 35 Marks
FIT Candidates :- 20 Marks or more
UN FIT Candidates :- Below 20 Marks
After Trial only the Fit candidates shall be considered for the next stage i.e interview/document verification. Only candidates declared FIT in Trial and attending interview shall be awarded the marks for their sports achievements, educational qualifications, general intelligence etc. No marks shall be given to the candidates declared UNFIT in the Trial for their sports achievement etc
i. Distribution of marks:-Maximum marks which can be awarded in the Trial and during interview shall be as follows-
a. Performance during Trial :- 35 Marks
b. Assessment of Sports achievements :- 50 Marks
c. Educational qualification :- 10 Marks
d. General Intelligence/Personality etc :- 05 Marks
e. TOTAL :- 100 Marks
