1. COMPANY PROFILE:

Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), was incorporated in 1954 with the objective of manufacturing and marketing of life saving bulk drugs at affordable prices through network of Govt. hospitals.The company has diversified into production of agriculture & veterinary products. HAL is a Schedule ‘C’/BIFR referred CPSE in Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals sector under the administrative control of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Its Registered and Corporate offices are at Pune, Maharashtra.

The authorized and paid up capital of the Company is Rs.50 crores and Rs. 44.41 crores respectively as on March,2008.

Shareholding of Government of India is 100%.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the company and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government of India. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the company for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

3. ELIGIBILITY

I. AGE: On the date of occurrence of vacancy:

(i) Minimum 40 years

(ii) Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and

not more than 57 years for others.

(iii) The age of superannuation is 60 years.

II. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The incumbent should be a graduate with good academic record from a recognised university. He should possess adequate experience at a senior level of management in a large organisation of repute.

Persons with Technical/MBA qualifications and having experience in management and familiarity with Finance, Marketing/Production will have added advantage. Knowledge of Chemical industry/sector is desirable.
