for the selection year 2009-10
Ministry of Tribal Affairs proposes to grant 10 Scholarships to ST students for pursuing the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course under the scheme of Post Matric Scholarships. Selection of 10 ST candidates would be carried out by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
through a written test. The terms and conditions regarding grant of scholarship for the said CPL course will be as per the scheme of PMS for ST students of Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The eligibility conditions and application form are enclosed and also available on the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ web site www.tribal.nic.in. The form can also be obtained from the Office of the Joint Director (Education Division), Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs,

ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Educational Qualifications: 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as
subjects
Income: Parents’/Guardians’ income not exceeding Rs. 1.08 lakh (One lakh eight thousand only) per annum for 2008-09 (attach Certificate of Employer or Competent authority).
Nationality: Indian
Number of Scholarships-10
Training Institution: Any Flying Club/Institute approved by the DGCA. Their choices may be indicated by the Candidates
Selection :On the basis of performance in written test to be conducted at the specified Centres in English, General Knowledge, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Amount of Scholarship: Compulsory fees and other allowances as payable through the concerned State Government/UT Administration under the Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for ST students, implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
How to submit applications?
Applications on plain paper containing particulars on the Application Form typed or written in block letters should reach the Joint Director, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, [Education Section], Room No. 400, B-Wing, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi – 110115 within 30 days of the date of issue of the advertisement i.e. up to 07/12/2009 at 5.30 p.m. and applications received after that will not be entertained. ST students who have already secured
admission in DGCA approved flying clubs for CPL training may also apply.
