Inter University Accelerator Centre Jobs 2009(Junior Engineer,Technician,Senior Assistant,Personal Assistant )

Inter University Accelerator Centre an Inter University Centre of University Grants Commission invites applications from qualified Indian nationals for appointment to the following positions :
(1) Junior Engineer : One post (Reserved for OBC)
Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with high first class. Those who acquired the diploma before 2007 need not apply.
Scale of Pay : Revised Pay Band+ Grade Pay
PB-2 : Rs 9300-34800+4200

(2) Technician (Pelletron Operator) : One Post (UR)
Qualification : ITI certificate in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Trade with three years relevant experience. Duties : Running and maintenance of Pelletron Accelerator and associated
systems. Those who have acquired the qualification before 2004 need not apply.
Scale of Pay : Revised Pay Band+ Grade Pay
PB-2 : Rs 5200-20400 + 2400

(3) Senior Assistant : 3 Posts (1-ST/1-OBC [Reserved for PH] and 1-UR)
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years as on 30.11.2009 (Relaxable as per Rules)
Qualifications : A Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University with atleast second class with five year experience in the field of Purchase & Stores / Accounts / Establishment in a Government / University / Autonomous Body / reputed private firm. Knowledge of Government rules and regulations and familiarity with computers will be given preference.

(4) Personal Assistant (1 Post-SC)
Maximum Age Limit : 28 years as on 30.11.2009 (Relax - able as per Rules)
Qualification : A Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University with a minimum speed of 100 wpm in shorthand and 40 wpm in typing. Five years experience as Stenographer in University
/ Government / Autonomous Body/ reputed private firm. Candidate having knowledge and experience in computer operation will be preferred.

(5) Research Associate: Two Posts
Stipend / fellow-ship : As per CSIR norms (Presently-Rs. 16000/- consolidated per month)
Qualification : Ph.D. in Experimental Physics (Nuclear Physics, Materials Science , Atomic Physics, Accelerator Physics, Radiation Biology and computational Materials Science). Good
academic record from class - X onwards (atleast-55% marks) Duration of appointment will be one year, renewable up to two years. Hostel accommodation will be provided in campus. If not available, HRA as admissible will be paid.

General Conditions :
The Posts except Research Associates carry the allowances such as DA, HRA, Transport. Allowance etc. besides benefits like New Pension Scheme, LTC, Medical reimbursement as per IUAC Rules.
Candidates selected for Junior Engineer, Technician (Pelletron Operator) and Research Associates would be required to work in shift, round the clock duties including weekends and holidays.

Candidates claiming Reservation should attach caste certificate in the prescribed proforma of the Government of India, duly signed by the competent authority. Those already employed in Central / State Governments, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies etc., must route their application through proper channel and an advance copy of the application may be sent to centre directly.
