Educational Qualifications:

For Sl. No. 1

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or any other branch of life science relevant to agricultural research or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Desirable: Proven experience in any of the following areas:

Familiarity and experience in (i) Biotechnology (ii) computer applications in agriculture (iii) Operations and of analytical equipment, data analysis and (iv) agronomy of field crops

For Sl. No. 2

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Desirable: MCA, Experience in Computer Applications in Agriculture.

For Sl. No. 3

Essential: Matriculate with at least one year Certificate in Agriculture from recognized institution.

Desirable: Skills to operate and maintain all farm equipments and utilities and aptitude for serving researchers engaged in agricultural Research & Development.

For Sl. No.4:

Essential: Matriculation or its equivalent.

Professional Efficiency:

The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 65 minutes.

Desirable: Computer knowledge, secretarial skills especially on business communications, and soft skills to handle correspondence, liasioning.

General instructions for Candidates:

  1. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL BE TREATED AS DISQUALIFICATION.
  2. Last date for receipt of applications is one month from the date of publication.
  3. The prescribed qualifications are minimum and an enhanced qualification does not entitle candidates to be called for written test/type test/interview. Where the number of applications received in response to advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible for the Institute to call for test/interview all the candidates, the Director, DSR, reserves the right to fix the criteria for calling the candidates on the basis of qualifications, experience etc.
  4. After screening the applications the candidates may be called for written test/ interview for T-3 and T-1 technical posts.
  5. After screening the applications the candidates may be called for written test/ stenography test/interview for Steno post.
  6. Relaxation in upper age shall be allowed to SC/ST/OBC and any other category as per the Government of India Rules.
  7. Community certificate for OBC in the prescribed form from the competent authorities, as in APPENDIX-I is to be submitted. Certificates submitted in any other form or from authorities not competent to issue the same will be ignored.
  8. No age limit for ICAR employees for technical posts (Sl. Nos. 1 to 3).
  9. The upper age is relaxable up to 45 years in the case of serving regular employees of ICAR in the administrative (ministerial category) for Stenographer post (Sl. No4).
  10. The post is non-government under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, which will be governed by the New Pension Scheme introduced by Govt. of India w.e.f. 01-01-2004 mutatis-mutandis and as amended or modified from time to time.
  11. The posts are purely temporary but likely to continue; these are transferable to any part of the country.
  12. The selected candidates will be posted at any of the stations of DSR at Hyderabad, Jalna or Solapur (Maharashtra State) and liable to transfer to any place in India, to begin with.
  13. Applications should be submitted in the proforma appended strictly type-written accompanied by a latest passport size photograph.
  14. Crucial date for determining the age limit of candidates for the post will be the closing date of receipt of application.
  15. Candidates are advised to send attested copies of certificates, marks-sheets, caste certificate in the prescribed proforma, and other certificates along with their applications.
  16. Application duly completed in all respects may be sent to the Director, Directorate of Sorghum Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030 along with an application fee (non-refundable) of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the shape of crossed D.D. drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit DSR” payable at State Bank of Hyderabad, Budwel Branch, Hyderabad. (Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from payment of application fee). The fee paid is not refundable.
  17. The envelope containing application compulsorily superscribed as “APPLICTION FOR THE POST OF _______________________________). Any candidate applying for more than one post should submit separate application for each post.
  18. Applications received after due date for any reason including postal delays will not be entertained. Only hard copies sent through post are considered.
  19. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for selection/test/interview/appointment.
  20. The Director, DSR reserves the right to change any of the conditions, and dates of tests/interview.
  21. No TA/DA will be paid if asked to appear for test/interview. However, SC/ST candidates are eligible for TA as per Govt. of India rules.
  22. Those who applied earlier for any post need to apply once again.
