CRS-Professor, RA jobs Nov2009 (Centre for Rural Studies,NIAR)

The Centre for Rural Studies (CRS) is a Research Centre under the National Institute of Administrative Research (NIAR), Cozy Nook, Mussoorie, which is promoted by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. Applications are invited for the following positions:

1. Professor (One Post)

Method of recruitment: Preferably on deputation from Central/State Govt. Departments/ Universities/ Research Institutions or by direct recruitment.

Pay Scale: 1. Recruitment through deputation Rs. 37400-67000 (Grade Pay 8900)

1. Direct recruitment Rs. 59,000/- per month consolidated salary (subject to annual increment based on CRS policy)

Qualification: Ph.D. in Social Sciences from a recognised University or equivalent.

Experience: 10 years experience in Teaching and/or Research in the areas of Agrarian Structure & Reforms, Land Reforms, Peasant Movements and Tribal Land and Forest Rights etc.

2. Research Associate (One Post)

Method of recruitment: Direct recruitment

Pay: 19000/- per month consolidated salary (subject to annual increment based on CRS policy)

Qualification: Post Graduation in Social Sciences from a recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates holding an M.Phil./ Ph.D degree.

Experience: 3 years experiences in Research Areas related to Land Reforms, Poverty Alleviation, Rural Development etc.

Period of Employment for the all above mentioned posts: upto the end of 11^th Five Year Plan i.e. 31^st March, 2012 subject to further continuance depending on funding support and performance appraisal.
