VACANCY NOTICE FOR SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE

This autonomous Institute funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is an apex technical Institute for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programs in the country through Education and Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory and Specialized Services.

Applications are invited from citizens of India for the following posts:

1. Lecturer (Reproductive Bio-medicine-Clinic): 2 (One – OBC, 1 OBC + PH)
Scale of Pay – Rs. 8000-13500 + NPA (Pre-revised)
Age limit: Upto 35 yrs. (Relaxable upto 5 years for Government Servants and employees of autonomous Institutions under government).

Essential Qualification
Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Post-graduate degree in Surg./Med./Obst. & Gynae or equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institution.
Atleast 3 years teaching/training/research experience as Demonstrator/Tutor/ Registrar/Resident in the Medicine, Surgery Obst. / Gynae.

2. Asstt. Research Officer (Population Genetics & Human Development): One (SC)
Grade Pay Rs. 4200
PB – 2 Rs.9300-34800
Age limit – 30 years

Essential Qualifications
Master’s degree in Anthropology / Human Biology
(ii) 3 years research experience in Physical Anthropology / Human Genetics.
Desirable
(i) Experience in Study of Human Biochemical Genetics Parameters.

3. Sr. Public Health Nurse: One (ST)
Grade Pay Rs. 4200
PB – 2 Rs.9300-34800
Age limit – Not exceeding 30 years
Essential Qualifications
B.Sc. (Nursing) of a recognized University or equivalent
Diploma in Public Health Nursing from a recognized Training Institution.
8 years’ experience in Community Health and Family Welfare.
4. Assistant Nursing Superintendent: One (SC)
Grade Pay Rs. 4200
PB – 2 Rs.9300-34800
Age limit – Not exceeding 30 years
Essential Qualifications
B.Sc. (Nursing) or Diploma in Nursing Administration from a recognized University or equivalent.
Should be registered as ‘A’ Grade Nurse with a State Nursing Council after obtaining a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
8 years’ experience in the profession.
Desirable
M.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized University or equivalent.

5. Sr. Technical Assistant (Phototype Setting): One (OBC)
Grade Pay Rs. 4200
PB – 2 Rs.9300-34800
Age limit - 40 Years

Essential Qualifications
Intermediate/Higher Secondary or its equivalent.
Knowledge and experience in processing bromide paper and filming (automatic as well as manual)
At least 8 years experience as IBM Typewriter Operator for composing matter for printing through offset process.
Knowledge and experience of operating a standard phototype setting machine/photo composing machine/Digital Phototype setter.
Desirable
Knowledge of offset Printing Press.

6. Technical Assistant (AVE): One (ST)
Grade Pay Rs. 2800
PB – 1 Rs.5200-20200
Age limit – Not exceeding 25 Years

Essential Qualifications
  • Higher Secondary or equivalent with Science subject.
  • Certificate courses in Sound Engineering or Sound Film Enginnering or Radio Engineering fom a recognized Institution.
  • 3 years experience in the operation and maintenance of all types of Audio Visual aids and equipment.
  • Licence for operating 33 mm. Theatre equipment.

Desirable
  • Experience in maintenance of film library.
  • Experience in operation of VTR equipment.

General:

1. Age as on 1.7.2009.
2. Age Limit relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped /Candidates in Govt. service as per Central Govt. Rules.
3. The candidates appointed will be governed by new Contributory Pension Scheme effective from 01-01-2004.
4. Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of the candidates will disqualify the candidates.
5. Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications would not entail a candidate to be called for interview.
6. No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant either before or after the selection. The decision of the Institute would be final.
7. NIHFW reserves the right to either fill up all the posts or some or none of them without giving any reason.
8. Incomplete application will not be considered.

  • Interested and eligible candidates for the posts at Sr. No.2 to 6 may apply on plain paper as per the enclosed proforma.
  • Candidates working in Govt./Semi Govt. organizations must apply through proper channel.
