Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a “Fortune 500” global giant and India’s “Navratna” Oil & Gas PSU, in it’s pursuit to meet nation’s growing energy requirement and to emerge as an integrated energy company has ventured into the field of Exploration and Production.

An overall Corporate investment outlay of nearly Rs 11,500 crores has been earmarked during XIth 5-Year Plan till 2012. HPCL intends to leverage and consolidate its current position and implement a strategy for E&P with a focus on acquisition of suitable assets overseas. 40 years (Relaxable upto 2yrs for meritorious candidates) Candidate should possess full time Post graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university approved by AICTE. 12 years of relevant experience.

The candidate should possess minimum aggregate of 60 % marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying degree as mentioned above.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Geophysicist: Will be responsible for supervising the interpretation of seismic imaging and related geophysical studies and provide essential inputs for prospect ranking and prioritization of drillable locations.

Petroleum Engineer: Will be responsible for estimation of reserve replacement and recovery by undertaking reservoir simulation and characterization. Ensure optimum performance of the producing oil reserves by Integrated Reservoir Management and assess the opportunities for enhanced recovery of hydrocarbons.

SELECTION :

Candidates fulfilling all of the above criteria (and based on scrutiny of the applications and documents) the eligible candidates will be called for personal interview. Candidates shortlisted in personal interview will be required to undergo medical examination. Reference for a medical examination does not mean final selection, which may please be noted. The final selection / Offer of Employment will be based on the candidate’s score in Personal Interview, Work Experience, being declared as Medically Fit by HPCL designated Physician and subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria wrt Academic Qualification, Age, Caste, NOC, Relieving letter etc. as may be applicable.

EMOLUMENTS AND PLACEMENTS :

Selected candidates will be placed in pay scale of Rs. 18500-23900 or 19000-24750 (under revision) plus VDA, HRA, CCA, etc. and other perquisites as applicable to particular grade. The CTC would be appx. Rs.11.00 lakhs per annum (based on Pre-Revised Pay Scales). Posting can be at any place in the country/otherwise and the services thereafter will be transferable as required by the Corporation.

    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Indian Nationals only need to apply.

  • Age relaxation, reservation of posts and relaxations thereof as per Government Directives.

  • All the qualifications should be full time regular course/s from a recognized Indian University approved by AICTE.

  • Depending on the requirement, the corporation reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the recruitment process, if need so arises, without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

  • Candidates presently employed in Government Departments / PSU’s / Autonomous Bodies have to route their application through proper channel or produce NOC at the time of interview, failing which their candidature will not be entertained.

  • Wherever CGPA or Letter Grade is awarded in qualifying degree, its equivalent percentage of marks (as aggregate of all semesters/terms) must be indicated in the application as per norms adopted by University/Institute.

  • Applications with incomplete / wrong particulars or without supporting documents as mentioned above will not be considered.

  • Reimbursement of Air fare (Economy Class) by shortest route to the place of interview will be given for outstation candidates within India.

  • Request for change of Interview centre shall not be considered. However HPCL reserves the right to cancel or add any centre depending on the response in that area/centre.

    While applying for above post, the applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and the particulars furnished are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment / selection that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he/she has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will automatically stand cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any notice.
