FINISHING SCHOOLS COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (FS CET) – 2009
NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for appearing in the Common Entrance Test for Admission into Finishing School Programmes (Part-time) located at various university locations for the courses as detailed below:
Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services (offered at Andhra University (AU), Kakatiya University (KU), Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Yogi Vemana University (YVU)
Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Transcription (offered at Andhra University, Kakatiya University, Sri Venkateswara University, Telangana University (TU), Osmania University (OU)
Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Insurance (offered at Kakatiya University, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana University)
Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality (offered at Sri Venkateswara University, Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Dravidian University (DU), Yogi Vemana University, Adi Kavi Nannaya University(ADNU))
Certificate Course in Retail (offered at Andhra University, Kakatiya University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Dravidian University)
Certificate Course in Anchoring for Radio and Television (offered at Sri Padmavati Mahila University(SPMV) , Potti Sriramulu Telugu University (PSTU)
Eligibility Criteria

Candidates satisfying the following requirements will be eligible to appear for the FS CET 2009:
Candidates should be of Indian nationality
Candidates seeking admission into the Post Graduate Diploma Courses should be Graduates from any of the recognised Universities with 50% marks in the qualifying examination (5% relaxation to SC/ST candidates). Candidates seeking admission into the Certificate Courses should have passed Intermediate/10+2 with 50% marks in the qualifying examination (5% relaxation to SC/ST candidates).
Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age as on 31st December, 2008. (Relaxation as per Govt. norms)
Detailed information regarding eligibility, age, nature of entrance test etc. is given in the Instruction Booklet supplied along with the application form or in the website www.apsche.org
Selection of students for the courses will be based on the entrance test followed by interview and counselling for all courses except Anchoring for Radio & Television and Post Graduate Diploma for Medical Transcription. For the Anchoring Course, entrance test will be followed by Screen test (Voice and Screen)/Group Discussion. For the Medical Transcription Course, entrance test will be followed by Listening Comprehension test and counselling.
Important Dates

Commencement of sale of application forms: 16.03.09
Last date for sale and receipt of application forms:
a) Without late fee : 07.04.09
With late fee of Rs.500/- (through DD : 11.04.09
in favour of Secretary, APSCHE)
c) Date of Entrance Test : 13.05.09 (10.00 am to 11.30 am)
d) Counseling Dates/Voice & Screen Test : 01.06.09 to 07.06.09
e) Date of Commencement of Courses : 22.06.09

Sale of Application Forms

Prescribed application form for the entrance test together with instruction booklet can be obtained in person through cash (or) DD drawn on any nationalised bank payable at Hyderabad, in favour of Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad for Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST students) at University post offices located at OU, AU, KU, SVU, SKU, SPMV, ANU, ADNU,YVU, KU, MGU, TU, PSTU & Nizam College, Hyderabad. A facility of downloading the application from APSCHE website : www. apsche.org also is given for the students who can send their downloaded application along with Demand Draft drawn for Rs.500/- ( Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST students) in favour of Secretary, APSCHE, payable at Hyderabad.

Submission of Application Forms

Duly filled in application forms may be submitted along with relevant documents by post/speed post/courier to the Convenor, FS CET – 2009 , C/o Principal, Nizam College, Hyderabad on or before 7th April, 2009 upto 5.00 pm. The application forms may also be submitted on or before 11th April, 2009 upto 5.00 pm along with a late fee of Rs.500/- in the form of a DD favouring Secretary, APSCHE. Incomplete application forms and application forms received after the specified date and time will be summarily rejected.
