JEE 2010 NOTIFICATION (Joint Entrance Exam)

FOR ADMISSION TO UGERGRADUATE courses at Indian Institutes of Technology

Important Dates
Date of exam: Sunday 11 April, 2010
paper-1: 9-12 hrs; Paper -2 : 14-17 hours

Online application Procedure- November 1st to December 7th 2009
Off line application Procedure through designated Banks- November 16th to December 15th 2009
Last Date for hard Copy of aoolication forms to reach IITS- 17:00 hrs December 19th 2009

Eligibility :
Date of Birth:
Candidates belonging to GC,OBC and DS categories must be born on or after Oct 01,1885, for SC,ST,PD categories must be born on or after Oct 01, 1980

Year of Passing Qualifying Exam (QE)
Must have passed QE, namely, XII standard or any Equivalent exam after 1st October, 2008 or in the year 2009 or will be appearing in2010

Min. Percentage of Marks in QE
Candidates belonging to GC,OBC and DS categories must secure atleast 60% marks and SC,ST,PD categories must must secure atleast 55% marks in aggregate in QE

Important Notes
1. You can attempt JEE only twice , in consecutive years.that means you should have attempted JEE for the first time 2009 or will be appearing in 2010

2. If you have accepted admission after qualifying in JEE in earlier years by paying full fees at any of the IITs, IT-BHU,Varanasi or ISM, Dhanbad, you will not be eligible to write JEE at all,irrespective of whether or not you joined in any of the programmes.

Application Procedure:

A candidate can submit application either online through internet or offline through prescribed (OMR) application form
(A) ONLINE
For Online submission of applications visit any of the sites given below. The students can pay through credit and debit cards of major banks or thriugh challan of selected banks. The reduced exam fee for online mode is Rs. 450 for SC/ST/PD /Female Candidates and Rs 900 for all other candidates

(B) OFFLINE
A candidate can buy an application form with information brochure from any one of the designated branches of banks by paying Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PD /Female Candidates(Light Green Envelope ) and Rs 1000 for all candidates (Light Blue envelope).
