Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of India.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Colonel and above in Army or person of equivalent rank in Navy/ Air Force.

OR

A Police Officer of the rank of Deputy Inspector General or a person of equivalent rank in paramilitary services.

OR

Security Officers in Public Sector Banks in Senior Management Grade Scale-IV with at least 2 years of service in that scale.

OR

Officers of IPS of the rank of DIG and above on deputation for a period of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years with approval of the Government.

APPLICATION FEE: (Non-Refundable)

Rs. 400/- towards fees should be paid by way of Demand Draft/Pay Order favouring ANDHRA BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT 2009 payable at HYDERABAD ONLY. The demand draft should invariably be attached to the application. Payment of application fee by cash/cheque/postal order/money order will not be accepted.

Candidates must write his/her name and address on the reverse side of the Bank Draft/Pay Order.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection of the Candidates will be made on the basis of performance in interview. Depending on the number of applications received, the Bank reserves the right to call only requisite number of candidates for interview after preliminary screening and short listing of applications with reference to their qualifications, experience and suitability. Mere satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.

HOW TO APPLY:

Candidates may download the Application form from the Bank’s website www.andhrabank.in. The Application form should be neatly typed or legibly hand written in English in CAPITAL LETTERS on an A4 size paper.

Paste your recent passport size photograph affixing your signature at the appropriate space provided at the right hand top corner of the application form and again sign at the space provided at the bottom of the application form. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the recruitment process is completed.

The application should be accompanied by Demand Draft/Pay Order and attested copies of Age, Educational Qualification and Experience Certificate(s). The Experience certificate should indicate the NATURE & PERIOD of experience.

Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection..

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC for which no vacancy has been announced are free to apply against the vacancy announced, as per Government Guidelines.

Candidates serving Government/Public sector undertaking (including banks) should send their applications through proper channel and produce “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered. Advance copy of the application along with the original demand draft may be sent to the addressee within the stipulated time.

GENERAL INSTRTUCTIONS:

a) As the applications are to be processed by a computerized system, it is essential that the application is strictly in accordance with the prescribed format and properly and completely filled in.
b) Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Decision of Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of examination, interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. The Bank in this behalf shall entertain no correspondence or personal enquiries. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.

c) Candidates, must submit the attested photocopies of all the certificates in support of educational qualification ,experience, date of birth/ caste/ and disability if any.

d) An application not accompanied by copies of relevant certificates, where necessary or requisite fee or not in prescribed format or not signed by the candidate or incomplete in any respect will not be entertained.

e) Any request for change of address will not be entertained.

f) Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated in Hyderabad only.

g) In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation in version other than English, English version will prevail.

h) Appointment of selected candidate is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such appointment will also be subject to the Service & Conduct rules of the Bank.

i)Publication of this advertisement in full or part by any other Agency without Bank’s specific permission will be considered as offence and will be liable for legal action.

j) The Bank reserves the right to modify/reverse/cancel any or all of the provisions in the process.
