Eligibility criteria 1(a)Essential
| Should possess the recognized postgraduate medical qualification (included in the first or second schedule of the IMC act) and other academic qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of ten years� teaching experience as Professor / Associate Professor / Reader in a medical college / Institute, out of which atleast five years should be as Professor in a department. Preference will be given to the Heads of the Departments.

(b) Desirable
| i) A high postgraduate qualification in any of the specialities of interest to the institute.
ii) Should posses other distinctions in the field of Medical Science.
iii) Acted as Head of a Medical College or an institute recognized by MCI.
|
2) Upper age limit
| Up to 62 years.
|
3) Salary
| Apex scale : Basic Pay Rs.80,000/- (fixed + NPA of 25% of basic pay; but pay + NPA does not exceed Rs.85,000/- and other allowances + perks as admissible from time to time.

4) Tenure of office
| Three Years
|
