Applications are invited for admission to M. Phil. and Ph. D. Programmes 2010- 2011

  1. M.Phil. Programme
  2. Full-time Ph. D. Programme
  3. Part-time Ph. D. Programme
  1. M. Phil. Programme:
    Eligibility: (a) Candidates seeking admission to the M.Phil. Programme shall have minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in Social Sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university.

    Candidate possessing Master's degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has proven record of work/publication in the area of educational policy, planning and administration.

    (b) The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC, with the above-mentioned educational qualifications are encouraged to apply.

    (c) Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master's level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination as per the eligibility conditions laid down at I & II above and submit its proof at the time of the interview. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of such candidates who are unable to produce the evidence of passing the Master's degree by first week of July 2010.

    (d) In 2010-11, a maximum of 20 scholars shall be selected for admission to the M. Phil. programme.

  2. Full-time Ph. D. Programme:
    Eligibility: 1. The university also offers admission to Ph. D. Programme for candidate with M.Phil. Degree in an area closely related to educational policy, planning and administration in addition to the qualifications mentioned in Para 1 (a) above and / or having exceptionally brilliant academic record in social sciences / allied areas coupled with publications of high quality.

    2. M.Phil. graduates of NUEPA will be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by a Selection/Admission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 6 or above on the ten point scale. This will be applicable for all admissions from 2008 onwards.

  3. Part-time Ph. D. Programme:
    Eligibility: University also offers Part- time Ph. D. Programme based on the criteria as laid down in the rules of the university. A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph.D. programme is required to meet the following criteria:

i. Should possess the educational qualifications as mentioned in Para 1 (a) above;

ii. Currently, should be in full-time employment;

iii. Should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.
