Chiyaan’ Vikram will make his debut in Bollywood as villain in the Mani Rathinam film, ‘Ramayan’, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan in the lead roles. (Of course earlier his ‘Annyan’ was released in a Hindi dubbed version, titled ‘Aparichit’, which incidentally didn’t make much of an impact!). ‘Ramayan’, it is said, is a modern version of the great Indian epic. Anyhow, in the Tamil version of the movie, ‘Ramayanam’, Vikram will be seen romancing Aishwarya, as the hero! This decision of Mani Rathinam is testimony to the acting prowess of Vikram, who has bagged a National Award for Best Actor for his stunning performance in ‘Pitamagan’ by Bala. Abhishek Bachchan has something to worry for, it seems. For, Vikram is sure to make a point in his avtaar as hero in the Tamil version!
