Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk‐in interview on 08‐01‐2010 at 9.30 am for the following temporary posts to work under the NAIP (ICAR) funded research projects, at the Directorate of Sorghum Research (DSR), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

NAIP sub‐project on “Creation of Demand for Millet Foods through PCS Value‐Chain”.
Duration: 2.5 years

Research Associate (RA) ‐ 1 post
Qualifications ‐
Essential: Ph D in Agrl. Sciences (preferable Agronomy/economics/extension) or
M.Sc. (Ag) in Agrl. Sciences (preferable Agronomy/economics/extension) or Masters in Agribusiness Management or M. Phil. in Economics or equivalent qualification with 2 years experience & strong aptitude for agricultural issues.

Desirable: Knowledge on cultivation of field crops/cereals, extension services, working knowledge
in computer skills especially in MS office, able to analyze statistical data using SPSS or SAS etc and strong demonstrated documentation skills.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) ‐ 1 post
Qualifications ‐ Essential: First Class M.Sc.(Ag) in Agrl. Sciences (preferable Agronomy/economics/extension) or MABM or M.Phil in Economics or MBA with food technology background in UG or equivalent qualification with strong aptitude for agricultural issues Desirable: Knowledge cultivation of field crops/cereals, extension services, working knowledge in computer skills especially to analyze economics data, able to analyze statistical data and demonstrated documentation skills.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The post of Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow is purely time bound / temporary/contractual engagement and co-terminus with the concerned project. The selected candidate will have no right what so ever for absorption/regularization in the University vacancies.

 2 Age Limit
(i) For RA: Men: 40 years & Women: 45 years (ii) For SRF: Men: 35 years & Women: 40 years (relaxable to SC/ST/OBC & PH as per Government of India rules).

3. Emoluments:

Research Associate: Rs.17000.00 + HRA for M.Sc. and Rs.18,000.00 + HRA for Ph.D degree holders per month (consolidated).

Senior Research Fellow: Rs.12000.00 + HRA consolidated per month for first & second years and Rs.14000.00+ HRA during third year.
