Devi has not confirmed this news but buzz is that he would be signing the movie, which has Charmee as main heroine. If he really does acting debut in this film, the rumors would be justified. It remains to be seen whether he says yes to this project or not. He is reportedly agreed to score music for this, though.

Souryam Movie Review
'Souryam' stars Gopichand and Anushka in the lead cast. Cameraman Siva is debuting as director in this film produced by Anand Prasad on Bhavya Creations banner. The film is released on 25th September whose review is criticized below. Gopichand's saga as an action entertainer continues in this flick too.
Story
Vijay (Gopichand), Divya (Poonam Kaur) are siblings (brother and sister). Vijay being a child himself, could not take the responsibility of upbringing his sister. So he leaves her in an Orphanage of a Christian Missionary. A couple who comes from Kolkota, adopts her and takes her to Kolkota with them. In search of his sister, Vijay arrives at the home of a Police Commissioner Sharath (Sharath Babu), and ends up growing in the place into a Police Officer. A gangster SivaRam Goud murders the commissioner who was obstructing his misdeeds. Consequently, Vijay books SivaRam Goud under narcotics case and sends him to jail. After knowing that his sister Divya, for whom he had been on search for 15 years, is in Kolkota, he goes in a search to find her. Was Vijay successful in finding his sister? What did SivaRam Goud, who comes out of the jail, had done to Vijay? How all this comes to an end? is the rest of the plot.
Performance of Artists
Be it the role of a Police Officer who threats the villain SivaRam Goud, in action sequences, during romantic episodes with Anushka and also in the sentiment areas Gopichand sheens all the way and portrayed the role of Vijay very well. This will sure be another feather in his cap besides the success like 'Yagnam', 'Ranam' and 'Lakshyam'. Especially, the sequence in which he gives a 12hrs target to the villain has been churned out fantastically, and Gopichand's performance in these scenes was superb.
Anushka as Swetha has given a graceful performance, as a bubbly girl in the college who teases the hero and also as a sensitive girl at home. Her glamour is an additional asset to the film. Poonam Kaur plays the pivotal role of Divya in this film. She rendered apt delivery within the scope of her characterization.
In addition, there are three prominent people in this film, who provided the perfect humor quotient which acts as a dimension of entertainment in the film, in their unique style. One of them is Ali (as Jimson) who displayed hilarious comedy in the college scenes. Other two are Raghubabu & Krishna Bhagvan, the duo did exceptionally well competing with each other, in the satirical scenes with Manoj K Jaman in the second half of the film.
Manoj K Jaman as SivaRam Goud performed very well. Similarly Ajay, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Sudha, Sharathbabu, did deliver with in the purview of their characters.
Technicians
Fight masters VijayRam, Lakshman, Selva and Ganesh designed the action scenes, according to the expectations of the audience in a Gopichand's action film. Marthand K Venkatesh's work as an editor, speaks for itself, no apt word are required to describe his expertise. The re-recording done by Mani Sharma is mellifluous. Rathnam's punch dialogues as well as the emotional dialogues emoted by Gopichand attains a laurel. The special attraction is the photography, starting from the introduction of the hero to the end of the film cameraman Vatri has envisaged and picturized every frame slickly.
Director's touch
This is the first venture for Siva as a director, who erstwhile worked as a cameraman. No aspect in this film gives a perception that the director has made his maiden venture. He keeps the audience addicted with his taut narrative style. The interval bang reminds the super hit film 'Siva' to the viewers. Director Siva has succeeded with this very first endeavor as a director in the tinsel ville.
Cons
The film features a good tempo through out, however the music is in a little down wave.
Criticism
Many films have been made based on the crux of sentiment that prevails between a brother and sister, but it is portrayed in a new dimension in this film. The role of the Police Officer Vijay, who plays a 12 hour game with the villain is a banking point for the film. Gopichands performance bolsters and elevates the movie to new heights. The film has all the features one would expect to see in a Gopichand's film. In a nutshell, this is an action packed entertainer that marks the slick skill of Gopichand.

Charmi In Manjula's Film
There is no need for a special mention that Manjula, daughter of Super Star Krishna, introduced herself as an artiste and producer with ‘Show’ and later turned a producer for ‘Naani’ with Maheshbabu as hero. However, the film failed to prove a commercial hit. In order to give a hit to Maheshbabu, again she joined hands with Puri Jagannath and brought out ‘Pokiri’, which proved as a blockbuster and achieved what she wanted. Now, she is planning a film in association with Super Good Films again with Maheshbabu as hero. However, Maheshbabu could not adjust the dates for the movie and the film is going to delay further. In order to make use of the idle time, Manjula planned another small budget film in the middle and Charmme was selected as heroine for the movie, it is reliably learnt. The film would be another heroine-centric movie and according to information, the film is likely to go to sets in October.

Summary:
The movie deals with the conflict among the powers of God, Evil, and Science, as seen in the case of a child.
What it's all about?
Rajeev (Jagapathi Babu) runs a construction company on his daughter's name Raksha (Neha Thota) and lives happyily with his wife Arthi (Kalyani), mother (Radhakumari), and his children Rahul (Master Atulith) and Raksha. The construction crew finds a stone with an embossed shape like Lord Ganesha. Despite the repeated insistence of Site Manager Shyam (Narsing Yadav), Rajeev declines the plea to build a temple there, since it'd change their construction plans totally. The site incharge Vinay (Subbaraju) once complains to Rajeev that the latter's close friend Venu (Rajeev Kanakala) and his wife Madhu (Sathya Krishnan) have been cheating the company. An enraged Rajeev kicks them out of his house and workplace. Strange happenings occur at Rajeev's home, and soon his daughter Raksha starts behaving strangely. Is it a case of black magic? Or, is it a psychiatric problem? Or, is it Lord Ganesha's anger? Did the atheist Rajeev heed to his mom and wife and consult black magicians for a solution? What did the doctors find about the girl? The film goes through several scenes that bring a shudder or a stir within, as the real reasons are revealed.
Performances:
Cast:
Jagapathi Babu gave a very good performance as the tensed parent of a lovable daughter. His silence also is so expressive, particularly in the scene where he looks at his mom in the hospital when a black magician walks in. Baby Neha is superb as the child that undergoes trauma, and so is cuet Atulith as her innocent younger brother. Kalyani is adequate as the mother of two children, who cannot command her loving husband, and Radhakumari is fitting as the grandmother of the children, who strongly believes in black magic, voodoo and other such occult powers. Pradeep Rawath gives a totally different performance in the distinct role he got to play in the film. Jeeva is dignified as a child psychologist, Subbaraju is good, and Jayasudha appears in a special role as Seema, the country's renowned psychiatrist.
Technical Departments:
The film's theme is inspired by, and is loosely based on, the popular trilogy of Yandamuri Virendranath from the late '70s and early '80s - the novels Tulasi, tulasiidaLam, and ashTaavakra. The story is convincing, and the treatment is good too in that it leaves open questions to the audience towards the end. Sound effects, BGM, and audiography, the key departments for a thriller, are commendably handled. Interestingly, the film doesn't depend much on visual effects, but camerawork is good and the lighting effects are good. Dialogues are good, with light comedy when possible, and thought-provoking when necessary. The director should be appreciated for a tight screenplay, convincing narration, and conviction in execution, without taking the focus off the theme with distractions such as songs. Certain symbolic shots are good too, such as the way he shows everyone "praying" in their own way about the child's well-being towards the end of the film.
Bottom Line:
Raksha is an intense suspense thriller powered by gripping screenplay, good background score and audio effects, and decent performances. It'd appeal to those sections of audiences that like films of this genre.
