Definition of Disabilities are as follows :
i)Hearing Impairment means loss of sixty decibles or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
ii)(a)Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movements of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
(b)Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development.
(c) All the cases of orthopaedically handicapped persons would be covered under the category of "locomotor disability or cerebral palsy".
Degree of disability for Reservation : Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffer from not less than 40 % of relevent disability.
Selection Process
The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for interview. Based on bio-data, initial screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for taking up interview. The venue and date of interview will be intimated.
Travelling Allowance
Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route from the address given in the web application to the place of interview or normal bus fare, whichever is less, on production of proof of journey such as the Railway Ticket Number(s)/PNR Number(s) or Bus Ticket(s), etc.

The post qualification experience required for each level is mentioned against each post. However qualification and work experience of each level is as under:-
1. Civil- (a) Dy. Manager (E-4)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in Civil Engineering from recognized University/ Institute and approved by AICTE. All qualifications should be regular courses.
Experience : Should have at least 10 years relevant Post qualification experience in construction/ construction planning of Hydro Electric Project with specialisation in construction works of dams, large concrete structures, underground structures like tunnels and power house.
2. Mechanical- Senior Engineer (E-3)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and approved by AICTE. All qualifications should be regular courses.
Experience: The incumbent should have at least 07 years relevant Post qualification experience in Erection, Testing and Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance, Design and Engineering of Mechanical equipment viz Hydro Turbine, Generator, SCADA, Protection System, Gas Insulated, Switch Gear, 400 KV-outdoor Switchyard Equipment, Gates, Hoists, Ventilation System, Air Conditioning, other Power House Auxiliary equipment and services of Hydro Electrical Project of power project.
3. Finance & Accounts
(Dy. Manager/Senior Accounts Officer/Accounts Officer):
Qualification: CA/ICWA or MBA with specialization in Finance. MBA (Finance) should be regular course.
No. of years of Post Qualification Experience:
Dy. Manager- 10 yrs.
Sr. Accounts Officer- 07 yrs.
Accounts Officer- 03 yrs.
Experience: Should have experience in Costing, Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, Internal Audit, Commercial Accounting, Industrial Audit, Taxation, Banking Operation, International Finance, etc., preferably in large PSUs.
4. Hindi (Asstt. Hindi Officer)
Qualification: Post Graduate in Hindi Literature .Should have English as one of the subjects in Graduation. All qualifications should be full time regular courses.
Experience: Should have at least 05 years post qualification experience
in line.

The National Institute of Nutrition offers a Post- Graduate Certificate Course in Nutrition
from 4th January to 19th March, 2010. The course is of an advanced nature, and includes lectures, group discussions, demonstrations and field visits.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : A basic degree in Medicine (MBBS) OR a Masters Degree in
Biochemistry/Physiology/Foods & Nutrition/Dietetics.
AGE LIMIT : Below 50 years
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES : The Director of the Institute will be the final authority in selecting the candidates and no correspondence will be entertained from the
candidates who are not selected.
IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates.
PRIVATE/NON-SPONSORED CANDIDATES
No stipend and travel expenses will be paid. Tuition fee: Rs.10,000/- (Lumpsum) has to be paid by the candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with First Class and 1-2 years experience in the relevant fields.
Accommodation
The participants in the course will be accommodated in a well-furnished modern hostel on the
campus of the National Institute of Nutrition on payment of the necessary charges. The charges
including board and lodging will be around Rs.120-00 per head per day.
